For flushing your dns cache please use the following commands:

OS X (since Leopard):
dscacheutil -flushcache

OS X (10.5.1 and older versions):
lookupd -flushcache

Linux:
/etc/init.d/nscd restart

Windows:
ipconfig /flushdns
